Myrtle Sarossa Becomes Timezone’s First-Ever Ambassador — and It Was Totally Unplanned

Timezone has been in the Philippines for 28 years, growing stronger with more branches popping up nationwide. But just recently, they hit a new milestone by introducing their very first brand ambassador — Myrtle Sarossa.

It All Started Unexpectedly

According to Timezone Philippines President Raffy Prats, they were discussing potential brand ambassadors when fate stepped in. Myrtle happened to be a special guest during the opening of a Timezone branch at Ayala Malls Vermosa. During an interview, she casually shared how she used to hang out at Timezone as a kid — around 7 or 8 years old — and how she’s always been a huge fan of games.

She wasn’t even part of their shortlist, but after hearing her story and seeing her energy, the team knew. As Raffy put it, “She was a natural brand ambassador.”

Timezone President, Raffy Prats shares the story how Myrtle became their brand ambassador.

The First Gold Card Member in Timezone Iloilo

Myrtle’s love for Timezone runs deep. She would visit their Iloilo branch every single week, and because of her loyalty, she eventually earned a Gold Card. Fun fact — the Timezone team later discovered that she was actually the first-ever Gold Card member at that branch!

Timezone Was Also Where PBB Discovered Her

Here’s a cool story: after Myrtle auditioned for Pinoy Big Brother, the production team wanted to observe her in her natural environment. On a visit to Iloilo, they spotted her at a Timezone playing Drum Mania — totally in her element. While it may not have been the sole reason she got in, it definitely helped them see her spark. She eventually went on to win the whole season!

Her Gamer Roots Began at Timezone

Aside from acting and cosplaying, Myrtle is also a well-known gamer and streamer with over 6.2 million followers on Facebook. She even bagged the "Content Creator of the Year" award. But if you ask her where it all started, she’ll point to Timezone. Growing up introverted, she found her passion for gaming and social interaction in those arcades. For Myrtle, Timezone wasn’t just a place to play — it was where she found confidence and community.

“I’ll always be grateful,” she shares. “I’ll never forget where it all began.”
