Last April, the MPT DriveHub Cycling Team took on the 8-day MPTC Tour of Luzon, defeating 13 local and 4 international teams. Spanning over 1,000 kilometers across seven provinces, the race pushed the team through steep climbs, coastal sprints, and scorching summer heat.
In partnership with HUAWEI, the team credited their performance in part to the HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Series. With advanced health and performance features, the wearables helped the cyclists stay in peak condition—showcasing how innovation can elevate athletic performance and promote active lifestyles.
At the devices' launch event, the team was among the first to try the new HUAWEI Watch Fit 4 Series. They praised its sleek design, lightweight comfort, and personalized fit. Each member customized their watch with a wide range of watch faces—including workout-based displays, calorie tracking, and activity rings. The series also offered various strap options, from skin-friendly fluoroelastomer to breathable woven styles.
Pro-Level Sports and All-Round Health Features
The team was especially drawn to the watch’s pro-level training tools. With over 100 sports modes, including indoor and outdoor cycling, the WATCH FIT 4 Series also acted as a stopwatch to track performance in real time. It’s the first in its class to support water sports—handling up to 40m free diving, open-water swimming, and paddleboarding.
With a built-in barometer and HUAWEI Sunflower Positioning System, the watch provides highly accurate route tracking and now includes offline maps—ideal for long, unfamiliar rides. The TruSense System on the WATCH FIT 4 Pro helps monitor key health metrics such as SpO2, respiratory rate, and heart rate variability (HRV), keeping the team in tune with their physical condition during intense training and races. Additional wellness tools include sleep tracking and an Emotional Wellbeing Assistant for a holistic approach to health.
All-Day Power and Smart Convenience
With up to 10 days of battery life and fast-charging support, the WATCH FIT 4 Series is built for endurance—perfect for multi-day races like the Tour of Luzon. It also brings smart convenience to the wrist with features like Bluetooth calling, QR payments via Watch Pay, voice memos, text-to-speech, and even a keyboard for quick replies.
