realme 15T Review: Stronger, Sleeker, and a Selfie Camera That Stands Out

I honestly didn’t expect much at first, but the realme 15T turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It’s a big step up from its predecessor, now powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, plus a massive 7000mAh battery (about 15% larger than before). It even gets a 50MP front camera, one of the best in its class.

On paper, it sounds great, and in actual use, it mostly delivers.

Design

For an affordable variant, the realme 15T doesn’t look or feel cheap at all. The Flowing Silver colorway gives off a pearl-white shimmer, complemented by silver accents around the frame. Build-wise, it’s very reminiscent of last year’s realme 14 5G and even boasts IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, which has been the direction realme took with its recent releases.

The camera bump is impressively slim, almost flush with the back panel, and the phone itself remains lightweight, measuring only 7.79mm slim despite its huge 7000mAh battery.

Thanks to the compact 6.57-inch screen, it’s also comfortable to hold with one hand.

Display

The AMOLED panel here is one of the brightest around, peaking at 4000 nits. It’s vibrant, sometimes almost too vibrant, but undeniably pleasing to the eye. The 120Hz refresh rate makes navigation buttery smooth, and features like double-tap to wake or sleep (via realme UI) are a nice touch.

The 6.57-inch screen size also makes the phone comfortable for one-handed use. Most elements are easy to reach, and overall, it’s a clean and visually appealing display.

Performance

The phone feels smooth and responsive overall. I’d even say it performs on par with some high-end smartphones if you ignore the specs and focus purely on user experience.

You’re getting the same realme UI experience found on the 15T’s bigger brothers in the series. Complete with the clean design, handy features, and yes, the same bit of bloatware that comes pre-installed.

In daily use, the realme 15T runs fluidly, handling multitasking and everyday apps without issues. Gaming performance is also solid, with fast-paced titles like Call of Duty: Mobile running smoothly on Medium settings at stable frame rates.

realme 15T Wuthering Waves - Medium Settings

For heavier games like Wuthering Waves, it does show some limits, but gameplay remains mostly smooth and enjoyable at low settings. I was able to bump the resolution to medium, which I found to be a good balance between visuals and performance, with only slight slowdowns in graphics-heavy scenes. Still, it’s impressively smooth overall.

It scored a respectable 602,779 on AnTuTu. It may not dominate benchmarks, but in real-world use, it definitely performs above its class.

Camera

You get a 50MP main camera and a 50MP front camera, along with a 2MP depth sensor. There’s no ultrawide or telephoto lens here, but the main shooter delivers sharp, colorful photos. It’s not quite as dynamic as the 15 or 15 Pro, though color calibration remains close.

realme 15T Vibrant and Crisp Photo options

I liked the “Crisp” and “Vibrant” shooting modes, which work great for street and food photography. There are also film-style filters and a Street Mode, though the latter feels a bit redundant given the creative options already available.

Video recording maxes out at 1080p 60fps. There’s no 4K option, but you can still apply filters even in video mode, which is fun for creating stylized clips.

The 50MP front camera is easily one of the highlights. It’s detailed, flattering, and I like how the beautification filters are tuned just right out of the box.

It also offers more than the standard view, with a wider 0.8x and a zoomed 2x option for flexibility. This makes it easier to fit more in the frame, though the zoom feels a bit niche. Maybe it could work for those who want to highlight specific facial features.

A quirky decision, but overall, it’s still one of the best selfie cameras in this price range.

Battery and Charging

That 7000mAh battery is a powerhouse. Expect up to two days of mixed use on a single charge. The charger that comes in the box is an 80W SuperVOOC charger. The same found in their higher models in the series but the charging speed here are capped at 60W. Still, it’s notably quick, topping up the phone in just over an hour, which is great considering its massive capacity.

Verdict

Overall, the realme 15T captures the core strengths of the brand’s numbered series. It’s a dependable and impressive midranger, making it an ideal step up, especially if you’re upgrading from the C-series.

It brings several meaningful upgrades, featuring a sleek and slim design, smooth everyday performance, and enough power for gaming and light content creation.

The real highlights are its massive 7000mAh battery and standout selfie camera, which is easily one of the best I’ve tried at this price range.

While the lack of 4K video and an ultrawide lens might disappoint some, the realme 15T still stands out as a solid, well-balanced successor in the lineup.
