HONOR Super-light Titanium Hinge: A first in the industry materials
HONOR has utilized aerospace-grade titanium alloy material as hinge cover for the Magic V2. This makes it a pioneer in the industry with this type of hinge design.
This choice of material makes for an ideal balance between weight and strength, being lighter than aluminum and stronger than steel. It's light, tough, and resistant to corrosion.
In addition, HONOR has used their proprietary steel for the hinge's main body. This material is 25% thinner and 20% stronger compared to its counterpart in HONOR Magic Vs.

Advanced structure and durability
The redesigned support structure of the hinge is also significantly improved over its predecessor. With thickness reduced by 75% and the depth of fold marks on the inner screen (crease) reduced by 47%.
Unique to the HONOR Magic V2’s hinge is an advanced "brake caliper" damping structure mixed with custom short screws and custom high-precision nuts. This combination allows for absolute thinness and a more stable and elegant experience with smooth opening and closing.
With these innovations, the HONOR Magic V2 can withstand more than 400,000 folds allowing of worry-free usage, even if the device is folded 100 times a day, ensuring a lifespan of up to ten years.
Ultra-thin architecture for more space, battery and new cooling system
HONOR has incorporated a "three-in-one" display driver component reducing the space the modules need to occupy internally. With this, the Magic V2 is able to pack a 5000mAh silicon-carbon battery despite being incredibly thin.
HONOR has also produced an ultra-thin cooling solution measuring only 0.22mm with the HONOR Ultra-thin Bionic VC cooling system and an ultra-thin wrap-around antenna which features a three-millimeter-thin design. These allowed for a slimmer design and cooler and more efficient operations.
