Riot Games has announced that the Closed Beta for 2XKO, its upcoming free-to-play 2v2 tag-team fighting game set in the League of Legends universe, will launch on September 9, 2025, for Windows PC. Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will follow later.
The game will support cross-platform progression and inventory, so players can switch between PC and console without losing any progress or items.
Players who joined previous public tests (Alpha Lab 1 or 2) will automatically get access to the PC Closed Beta. New players can sign up at 2xko.riotgames.com/beta.
Riot also revealed that Vi, a fan-favorite from League of Legends and Arcane, will be a playable character at Evo 2025 in Las Vegas (August 1–3) and in the Closed Beta.
2XKO is built to welcome both hardcore fighting game fans and new players, offering a fresh take on the Runeterra universe. Riot plans to keep the game live from the Closed Beta all the way through to full launch.
