A new mobile brand enters the Philippine telco scene as Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) launches KiQ—the country’s first and only fully app-based mobile service, and among the first of its kind in the world. It offers a personalized digital telco experience designed for the Gen Z market.
Pronounced “kick,” KiQ is built on a platform that lets users customize offers and unbundle services, giving them full control and flexibility over their mobile lifestyle.
Using the unique Slider Interface of the KiQ app, subscribers can set their data allocation, decide whether to include calls and texts, and choose their plan’s validity period to match their needs and lifestyle. They can even select their own mobile number.
Getting started with KiQ is quick and easy
Simply download the KiQ app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, purchase a KiQ eSIM for only PhP 99, personalize your plan, and choose your mobile number—all within minutes.
KiQ also marks Smart’s first implementation of QR-less eSIM activation, removing the need to scan a QR code via email. Through the KiQ app, subscribers can directly download the eSIM and activate it in their phone’s settings. Customers can start using their personalized plan after completing the one-time eSIM registration.
In addition to personalization, KiQ offers a prioritized network experience in high-traffic areas, ensuring subscribers stay connected even during peak usage times.
KiQ’s launch comes at a time when digital-first, self-service mobile solutions are in high demand, especially among tech-savvy customers with on-the-go, multi-hyphenated lifestyles.
Download the KiQ app now on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
