A Non-Photographer Shot Our Prenup BTS Using the realme 15 Pro 5G

As a regular person juggling life as a tech content creator and keeping up with the latest in tech, I’m also about to get married!

Like most couples, a prenup shoot was a must - not just a tradition before the big “I do,” but also a way to make my future wife happy (pro tip to all soon-to-be grooms). So we had a full production day with our wedding coordinator, event stylist, photographers, and makeup artists. It turned into a whole-day affair, and everyone was working professionally with top-tier equipment.

As a photography fan, I wanted a sneak peek of the shots before the official photos arrived a week later. So I handed our event coordinator - who has zero experience in photography or framing - my realme 15 Pro 5G and asked her to capture some BTS shots of our prenup.

I actually had four smartphones in my bag that day, mostly flagships I'm reviewing from other brands, but somehow I was drawn to hand her the realme 15 Pro. I guess after our travels in Baguio with it, I felt I could trust it.

The results? Absolutely blew us away.

It was a gloomy day with a typhoon, but we didn’t want that to ruin or delay our shoot, so we pushed through anyway.

While taking photos, she kept saying, “Ang ganda naman ng camera na to! Bibili nga ako nito! Ano ba to?” (“Wow, this camera is great! I might actually buy this! What phone is this?”).

I forgot to warn her about overusing zoom since the phone doesn’t have a dedicated zoom lens, but the shots still turned out surprisingly well.

All the photos here were reframed and edited by me on Adobe Lightroom Mobile, and I’m genuinely impressed at how well they held up. Some shots were enhanced with realme’s AI tools, and a lifesaver for me was the AI remove blur feature, especially for shots while we were moving.

We didn’t have our actual rings yet since those are reserved for the wedding day, but we did play around with our smart rings just to get a feel for it.

We capped off the shoot with a selfie, and I still had to use a bit of AI magic to remove people from the background.

Fun fact: the day I proposed to my fiancée was also captured on a realme phone - the realme 14 Pro 5G - but that’s a story for another article. For now, I’m super excited for our wedding in February and to finally see the official prenup photos from our photographer. In the meantime, I’m glad realme got to capture these special moments for us. Who knows, I might even use another realme on the big day itself.
