Alongside the POCO F8 Ultra, the brand also introduced the more affordable option in the series, the POCO F8 Pro. (Read about the POCO F8 Ultra here)
Just like what they did with the F7 lineup, the F8 Pro inherits a lot of the Ultra’s DNA. It uses the same POCO HyperRGB display that offers 2K like clarity with better power efficiency, and it also supports Sound by Bose thanks to the brand’s new audio partnership.
The overall design is similar, but the denim finish is exclusive to the F8 Ultra. The F8 Pro instead gets a cleaner one piece milled glass look. The back is carved from a single 2mm CNC cut glass block, giving it a glossy matte effect with a frosted feel. It’s also rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.
Powering the F8 Pro is a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with the same WildBoost Optimization found on the Ultra. Cooling is handled by LiquidCool Technology with a triple layer IceLoop system, reducing surface heat and improving thermal capacity by 40 percent compared to the previous F7 Pro.
For cameras, the F8 Pro becomes the first Pro variant to offer a telephoto lens. It has a 50MP telephoto shooter with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 5x in sensor lossless zoom. The main camera uses a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS, and like the Ultra, it can capture 1440P photos with positive and negative film filters.
