POCO has launched the POCO M8 5G and POCO M8 Pro 5G, bringing the M Series deeper into the mid-range with more flagship-inspired features.
POCO M8 Pro 5G
The POCO M8 Pro 5G is built for entertainment, with big upgrades in performance, display, battery, and cameras. It has a slim 8.31mm body with quad-curved edges and a floating camera design.
It sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, plus Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and TÜV-certified high-frequency PWM dimming.
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, scoring over 1 million on AnTuTu, and introduces POCO’s IceLoop liquid cooling system for better sustained performance.
Battery life is handled by a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W HyperCharge, charging fully in around 40 minutes, along with 22.5W reverse charging.
You get dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a 400% volume boost.
For cameras, there’s a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor with OIS, a 32MP selfie camera, and 4K video at 30fps. AI features include the AI Creativity Assistant and Dynamic Shots 2.0.
The M8 Pro 5G also carries SGS Premium Performance certification, IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance, plus Wet Touch Technology 2.0 for reliable use even when wet.
POCO M8 5G
The POCO M8 5G focuses on portability with an ultra-thin 7.35mm, 178g design, making it the slimmest POCO M Series phone to date.
It features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 color support, and TÜV Rheinland eye-care certification.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, scoring over 850,000 on AnTuTu, with memory expansion up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
Audio comes from dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and a 300% volume boost.
It packs a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging and has passed SGS drop and shock resistance tests, along with an IP66 dust and water resistance rating.
Camera-wise, the POCO M8 5G uses a 50MP Light Fusion 400 main camera and a 20MP selfie camera. Like the Pro, it supports 4K video at 30fps and includes AI camera features such as AI portrait, AI image editing, AI Sky, and reflection removal.
