Alongside the launch of the HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro in Madrid, Spain, HUAWEI also introduced a new wearable designed for athletes, the HUAWEI Watch GT Runner 2.
Built for runners and endurance athletes, the Watch GT Runner 2 features a 3D floating antenna design that improves GPS signal reception during outdoor activities. It also uses HUAWEI’s intelligent positioning system, allowing the watch to accurately calculate a runner’s trajectory and distance even when GPS signals are briefly interrupted.
The smartwatch is designed to help runners improve their training and race performance. One of its highlights is the Intelligent Marathon Mode, which provides pacing guidance, distance tracking, and real-time insights, acting like a personal running coach on your wrist.
For its design, the HUAWEI Watch GT Runner 2 uses a titanium alloy body for a lightweight yet durable build. It is also protected by KunLun Glass and comes with a HUAWEI AirDry Woven strap, a breathable material designed for comfort during workouts.
Like other HUAWEI smartwatches, it also offers health monitoring features such as ECG analysis, pulse wave arrhythmia analysis, and sleep breathing awareness.
The watch is rated for up to 14 days of battery life.
The HUAWEI Watch GT Runner 2 is expected to arrive in the Philippines this coming April 2026.
