Fortinet has released a new study with Forrester Consulting revealing that many organizations across Asia Pacific are struggling to keep up with today’s rapidly evolving cybersecurity threats.
According to the report, AI-powered attacks, fragmented security tools, and increasingly complex systems are putting heavy pressure on security teams. Many organizations are also dealing with overwhelming alert volumes, making it harder to identify real threats quickly.
The study shows that companies are now shifting toward simpler and more unified security platforms. Instead of managing multiple disconnected tools, organizations are looking for integrated systems that can improve efficiency, strengthen threat detection, and make security operations easier to manage.
Amelia Lau, Project Lead at Forrester Consulting, said organizations across Asia Pacific are facing a double challenge: growing AI-driven threats and more complex IT environments. She added that companies need more integrated and platform-based security approaches to improve visibility, efficiency, and resilience.
AI is also becoming a bigger part of cybersecurity strategies. Most organizations surveyed said they plan to increase their AI investments, with many expecting AI to help improve response times, automate tasks, and reduce manual workloads.
Bambi Escalante, Country Manager of Fortinet Philippines, noted that many organizations are struggling with fragmented tools, limited visibility, and overwhelming alert volumes. She explained that while companies want to use AI to improve efficiency, many still lack the integrated systems needed to fully maximize it.
Meanwhile, Rashish Pandey, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for APAC at Fortinet, emphasized that AI can only deliver meaningful cybersecurity results when supported by unified visibility and connected data across environments. Without proper integration, AI may only add more complexity instead of solving problems.
Despite the growing interest in AI and platform-based security, challenges remain. Some organizations are worried about migration costs and disruptions, while others are still uncertain if unified platforms can fully meet their security needs.
The findings highlight how cybersecurity is becoming more difficult to manage as threats grow more advanced and IT environments become increasingly complex.
