HUAWEI has launched the new HUAWEI MatePad Air in the Philippines, combining a 12-inch 2.8K OLED PaperMatte Display with AI-powered productivity features and a slim, lightweight design.
The tablet is designed for professionals, creators, and users who want a portable workstation for work, creativity, and entertainment.
12-inch 2.8K OLED PaperMatte Display
The HUAWEI MatePad Air features a 12-inch 2.8K OLED PaperMatte Display with a slim 4.69mm bezel, up to 1,200 nits peak brightness, and support for vivid colors and detailed visuals.
Its PaperMatte technology provides a more paper-like feel for writing, reading, and sketching while reducing glare and reflections. This makes the display suitable for extended work sessions, creative tasks, and entertainment.
AI-powered tools for work and creativity
The tablet comes with 4-in-1 productivity features powered by AI. PC-Level WPS Office lets users work on documents and presentations, while WPS AI can summarize content, refine writing, and generate presentation materials.
HUAWEI Notes also includes AI-powered speech-to-text, allowing conversations to be converted into editable notes. Handwritten annotations and highlights can be synchronized with transcriptions, while the app can also help solve and explain equations.
For creative work, GoPaint provides a range of digital art tools and AI-powered features for artists, illustrators, and hobbyists.
A portable 4-in-1 workstation
The HUAWEI MatePad Air supports NearLink-enabled accessories, including the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro.
The keyboard provides a PC-like typing experience with desktop-level shortcut combinations, while the M-Pencil Pro supports gestures such as pinch, double-tap, and rotation.
The stylus also features an Air Mouse function that lets users scroll through presentations and use the M-Pencil Pro as a laser pointer.
The tablet comes bundled with the keyboard, M-Pencil Pro, WPS Office, WPS AI, a Bluetooth mouse, and a bag.
Slim and lightweight design
Measuring just 5.3mm thin and weighing 509g, the HUAWEI MatePad Air is designed for portability. Its Airy Blue finish also features a pearlescent look and is designed to resist corrosion, sweat, and fading.
10,100mAh battery and 66W charging
The tablet packs a 10,100mAh battery rated for up to 18 hours of HDR video playback. When it needs a recharge, 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo can charge it in as fast as 30 minutes.
It also comes with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and an additional 8GB of virtual memory. A 3D heat dissipation architecture helps manage heat during demanding workloads.
HUAWEI MatePad Air price and freebies
The HUAWEI MatePad Air is priced at PHP 59,999, down from its regular price of PHP 64,999.
