Riot Games has released Patch 7.3 for League of Legends: Wild Rift, introducing major changes to marksmen, jungle gameplay, turrets, ranked play, and the champion roster.
Marksmen get major changes
Patch 7.3 gives critical strike marksmen more room to scale. Base critical strike damage has increased from 175% to 200%, while the Attack Speed cap has been raised from 2.5 to 3 attacks per second.
Champions including Ezreal, Kai’Sa, Twitch, Lucian, Caitlyn, Draven, Miss Fortune, Samira, Zeri, Jinx, Vayne, and Ashe also receive individual adjustments.
Several items have also been added or redesigned, including Hexoptics, Yun Tal Wildarrows, Fiendhuler Bolts, Stormrazor, Rapid Firecannon, and Immortal Shieldbow. Lifesteal has also been reworked to better support basic attacks, on-hit damage, and abilities that count as basic attacks.
Support items are getting changes as well, with Echoes of Helia now aimed at offensive supports. Ardent Censer, Staff of Flowing Water, and Harmonic Echo have also been updated.
Jungle gets more rewarding
Patch 7.3 shifts more focus toward efficient jungle farming. Junglers now receive bonus gold for consistently clearing camps, along with a catch-up mechanic for players who fall behind.
Clearing camps also progresses Smite through Ecosystem Protection stacks, increasing its true damage from 600 to 1,000 and eventually 1,400. This makes it easier to secure major objectives such as Baron Nashor, Rift Herald, and Dragons.
Epic monsters will also scale based on the average level of players in the match instead of simply becoming stronger as time passes.
Turrets get a major overhaul
Turret plating now extends to outer, inner, and inhibitor turrets and remains permanently available.
A new Crystalline Overgrowth mechanic also allows turrets to accumulate crystals that can be detonated when a champion lands their first basic attack.
These changes put more emphasis on lane pressure, defending structures, and converting team fight advantages into actual objectives.
Hwei, Sylas, and Rek’Sai join Wild Rift
Hwei, the Visionary, arrives in Wild Rift on September 22. The flexible mid-laner has three ability groups: Subject: Disaster, Subject: Serenity, and Subject: Torment, giving him different tools for dealing damage, supporting allies, and controlling enemies.
Sylas and Rek’Sai are also joining the champion roster. Sylas can steal enemy ultimates and has abilities focused on burst damage and healing, while Rek’Sai brings strong initiation tools, including an Unburrow knock-up and an ultimate that can track nearby enemies.
Ranked and game modes get updates
Patch 7.3 updates the S/A and MVP scoring system to evaluate players based on their specific lane and champion role. Strong performances can also provide more Ranked energy.
Legendary Ranked is receiving changes to its Seasonal Entry Threshold and a new trial format for players looking to progress from Legendary Commander Rank.
Two game modes are also being introduced or updated. Rift Rumble puts three-player teams on a new symmetrical map, where players fight for kills and Ultimate Stones that can change how their champions perform.
The AAA Realm is also getting new content, including a music-themed season and new augment cards.
Patch 7.3 is now bringing these changes to League of Legends: Wild Rift, with Hwei arriving on September 22.
