ZTE has opened the 15th ZTE Global Summit & User Congress in Malaysia, bringing together more than 500 government officials, industry leaders, operators, enterprises, and ecosystem partners to discuss the future of connectivity, AI, and digital infrastructure.
This year's summit focuses on ZTE's shift from connectivity toward a combination of connectivity and computing, with AI playing a central role in its network infrastructure, computing platforms, and consumer devices.
AI native networks and computing
ZTE introduced its AIR MAX architecture, which brings AI capabilities across mobile networks, including intelligent radio access, autonomous network operations, and AI driven services.
Its AIR Core also introduces an Agent Service Network designed to support not only people and connected devices, but emerging AI agents such as home robots, digital humans, and virtual assistants. ZTE says its network intelligence solutions can also deliver real time quality assessments and dynamic network adjustments.
The company also showcased its HI-NET and AI All-Optical Network solutions, designed to improve data transmission and computing efficiency for AI workloads. The HI-NET solution includes a core router capable of up to 28.8 Tbps per slot, while ZTE's optical networking platform supports an evolution toward 50G-PON.
New AI and consumer devices
On the consumer side, ZTE unveiled several new devices focused on gaming, connectivity, and AI.
The nubia Neo 5 GT features an active fan cooling system for gaming, while the nubia Neo 5 Max introduces a 7.5 inch display in what ZTE calls the PadPhone category.
ZTE also introduced the G6 Ultra, described as the world's first 5G-A Wi-Fi 8 CPE. Other devices showcased include iMoochi, an AI powered pet, ZTE TOPFLOW for outdoor livestreaming and mobile productivity, and ZTE U15S Global, a pocket Wi-Fi designed for connectivity worldwide.
The company also highlighted its AI Home ecosystem, which includes AI smart displays, AI powered set top boxes, and IPC cameras for entertainment, wellness, and home care applications.
ZTE Global Summit & User Congress 2026 is being held alongside GSMA M360 ASEAN, with the event focused on how AI and next generation connectivity can create new applications and commercial opportunities across the region.
