As proud co-sponsors of "Cashless Expo 2023", Maya and PLDT are leading the way in supporting the government's efforts to increase the use of financial services.
The Cashless Expo 2023 is a three-day trade show that will feature Philippine-made goods and services bought and sold via digital payments-only transactions.
It will also introduce various digital financial services, payment solutions, and contactless innovations for consumers and MSMEs.
The event will be held at the World Trade Center from November 17 to 19.
Spearheaded by Go Digital Pilipinas (GDP), a private sector-led initiative that aims to promote digital transformation in the country, the event is also supported by key government agencies such as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the Department of Tourism (DoT), and the Department of Agriculture (DA).
Present at the ceremony for the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, Maya Group President Shailesh Baidwan, stressed their objectives saying,
"We are excited to be at the forefront of the nation's inaugural cashless expo. As the Philippines' most comprehensive financial services ecosystem, our goal is to catalyze the widespread adoption of digital transactions among consumers and enterprises, including our MSMEs. In the process, we aim to enable more advanced digital banking services like savings and credit".
