Alongside the launch of the Xiaomi 17 Series and other new devices like the Pad 8 Series, Electric Scooter 6 Ultra, Redmi Buds 8 Pro, Xiaomi Tag, and Ultrathin Power Bank, Xiaomi also unveiled its flagship smartwatch, the Xiaomi Watch 5.
Housed in a stainless steel frame, the Watch 5 features a large 1.54-inch display with slim, sleek bezels, protected by durable sapphire glass.
Running on WearOS 6 by Google, it offers native support for popular Google apps, including Google Calendar, Maps, Google Wallet, and YouTube Music controls. NFC functionality enables cashless payments via Google Wallet, while Google Gemini provides quick access to assistance for information and navigation.
The Watch 5 also introduces advanced gesture controls. It supports general gestures like double pinch and double rub, as well as customizable gestures such as snap fingers, shake wrist, and rotate wrist, which can be used to control the camera, dismiss calls, or launch workouts remotely.
Under the hood, the watch uses a dual-processor setup with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and BES2800 low-power processor, balancing performance and efficiency. The 930mAh silicon-carbon battery delivers up to 6 days in smart mode and can last up to 18 days in power saver mode, making it a reliable companion for daily use.
