Sony has officially unveiled the 1000X THE COLLEXION, a new premium addition to its legendary 1000X headphone series that also celebrates the lineup’s 10th anniversary.
Focused on luxury design, comfort, and immersive audio, the new headphones combine premium materials with Sony’s signature noise cancelling and sound technologies. Sony is also introducing a new Sandstone colorway for the WH-1000XM6.
The 1000X THE COLLEXION features a refined design with a matte sandblasted metal headband, polished glossy accents, soft faux leather, and a cleaner seamless finish with integrated buttons and microphone openings. It comes in White and Black color options.
Sony also puts heavy focus on comfort with larger ergonomic earcups, a wider cushioned headband, and stretchable leather designed for extended listening sessions.
For audio, the headphones use a newly designed driver unit with a high-rigidity carbon composite dome to deliver clearer vocals, improved instrument separation, richer detail, and a wider soundstage. Sony says it also worked with Grammy Award-winning and nominated mastering engineers to fine-tune the sound profile for a more natural listening experience.
The 1000X THE COLLEXION is also the first headphone to feature DSEE Ultimate, Sony’s Edge-AI powered technology that restores detail from compressed music files in real time.
Sony is also expanding its 360 Reality Audio Upmix feature with dedicated Music, Cinema, and Game modes that convert stereo audio into a more immersive spatial audio experience. Users can customize listening modes through the Sony | Sound Connect app.
For noise cancelling, the headphones use the same technology found in the WH-1000XM6, including a 12-microphone Multi-Noise Sensor system and Adaptive NC Optimizer.
The headphones retain other familiar 1000X features such as clear call quality, intuitive controls, and up to 24 hours of battery life, which can stretch up to 32 hours under managed use. Sony also highlights its sustainability efforts with recycled plastic materials and plastic-free packaging.
The 1000X THE COLLEXION also comes with a bag-style carrying case.
Sony is also expanding the WH-1000XM6 lineup with a new Sandstone color option, arriving on June 5, 2026.

Pricing and availability
The 1000X THE COLLEXION in White and Black is available for pre-order for PHP 36,999 from May 20 to June 21 at Sony Centers and authorized dealers nationwide.
Meanwhile, the WH-1000XM6 Sandstone will officially launch on June 5, 2026.
